Sion Hospital

We are located right near the Sion Railway Station, which makes us one of the first places people see when they get off the train. The foot traffic here is incredible. From the moment the first trains start running, there’s a stream of people coming towards the hospital gates. Being so close to the station means we get a lot of emergency cases and people who have traveled from the far suburbs. It’s a very loud area with the trains whistling and the announcements echoing across the street. The hospital itself is a sprawling complex that never seems to sleep. This particular side is always in motion. We have people asking for directions constantly because it’s such a major hub for the neighborhood. The waiting areas are often overflowing, and you’ll see people sitting on the steps or leaning against the walls. It’s a gritty, busy environment where there’s no room for pretense or fancy talk. We deal with reality in its rawest form here every single day. The staff are used to the fast pace and the constant noise of the city. There’s a lot of history in these walls, and you can feel it in the worn-down floors and the old wooden doors. We don't have time for anything but the patients who need us. It’s a tough place to work, but it’s where we are needed most because of the easy access.
