Simatech Automation is in Gala No. 3 of the Saraswati Bldg. That’s inside the Tungareshwar Industrial Complex in Sativali. Being out here in Vasai East means we’re surrounded by factories and the constant sound of machinery. Our space is basically a workshop. It’s got high ceilings and concrete floors that always seem to have a bit of oil on them no matter how much we sweep. We work on various automation parts and machines that other factories nearby use. It’s not a clean job. Our hands are usually greasy by ten in the morning. We don't have any sales people in fancy cars. If you want to talk to us, you have to come down to the gala and find us under a machine or at the workbench. The commute to Sativali can be a bit rough during the monsoon because the roads get pretty muddy. We usually just eat our lunch together on a wooden crate in the corner. There’s a small tea stall just outside the complex where we go when we need a break from the noise. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. We just assemble the parts, test the sensors, and make sure the controllers are working. It’s a loud, busy environment, but it’s where we feel most at home. We just take one job at a time and try to keep the machines running.
