Shubham Timber

Shubham Timber has been operating out of Shop No. 7 in the New Rajshree building for a while now. We sit right on Mira Bhayander Road, which is always busy with traffic and people moving around Mira Road East. If you’re hungry, you’ll probably notice the McDonald’S right across the street from us. That’s usually how people find the shop. Inside, it smells like wood all the time, which is something you just get used to. We have stacks of timber everywhere, and sometimes it’s hard to move around when a new shipment comes in. It gets pretty noisy with the cars rushing by outside, but we don't mind it much. We spend most of the day measuring things out and helping people pick the right pieces for whatever they are building at home. The shop floor is always covered in a bit of sawdust no matter how much we try to sweep it up. It’s just a regular local business where we do things the old-fashioned way. We don't have any flashy signs or anything like that. Just the timber and the tools we use. Being near the main road means we see a lot of different faces every day. Some people just stop in because they saw the wood from the street. It’s a simple life here in Mira Road, just keeping the shop open and dealing with the timber trade as it comes day by day.
