Shreeji Ice Cream Parlour

We’ve been at Shop No-07 on Kolshet Road for some time now, right by the Ekvira Mandir. It’s a small spot, nothing too fancy, just a place where you can get something cold when it’s hot outside. My brother and I take turns behind the counter most days. Usually, the evenings are when it gets crowded because families come out for a walk after dinner. We have a few benches, but mostly people just stand around and talk while they eat their ice cream. The traffic on Kolshet Road can get a bit loud, but inside it’s quiet enough. We spend a lot of time checking the freezers because if the power goes out, we have a real problem on our hands. Luckily, that doesn’t happen too often these days. Sometimes the kids from the neighborhood come in with just a few coins and we try to find something for them. It’s nice seeing the same faces every week. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town, just a steady place for the locals. Cleaning the glass displays takes up a lot of my morning. You wouldn't believe how many fingerprints kids leave on the glass every single day. I usually have a radio playing in the background to keep me company when things are slow in the afternoon. It’s just us doing our thing here near the temple, making sure people have a place to get a treat.
