We are tucked away opposite Barrack Number 1189/90 in Pawai Chowk, which is right in the middle of Ulhasnagar Number 3. If you have ever been to Ulhasnagar, you know how the markets are—they are crowded, loud, and full of energy. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We deal with all kinds of bags, from big travel ones to small purses. The space is quite tight because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand, so you often have to squeeze past the piles of inventory. It is a family-run kind of thing, and we have been in this area for years. Every morning starts with moving some of the displays out onto the street to show people what we have. The dust from the road is a constant battle, but that is just part of being in Thane. We see a lot of wholesale buyers as well as regular people looking for a deal. It is not the kind of place where you get a fancy shopping experience, but we have what you need. Sometimes the noise from the market makes it hard to talk, but we manage just fine. We just keep our heads down and do the work, making sure the zippers work and the straps are strong. It is a busy life here in the chowk and there is never a dull moment when the market is open.
