Rainbow Preschool

Rainbow Preschool is in Chestnut Plaza over in Manpada Thane West. It is a busy area right at Khewra Circle. If you know the plaza, you know where we are. It is a lot of concrete and cars outside, but inside we try to keep things calm. The main room has these big windows that look out towards the circle. Sometimes the kids just watch the traffic go by for a minute when they are supposed to be doing something else. We have different colored mats on the floor. They aren't new, but they work fine for sitting and playing. We have some shelves filled with books and old puzzles that might be missing a piece or two. That is just how it is when kids are involved in the daily routine. The morning starts with everyone putting their tiffin boxes in the designated area. You can smell the different lunches—parathas or fruit mostly. We spend the hours doing basic stuff like coloring or singing songs that everyone knows. Manpada has grown a lot lately, so there are always new families moving into the buildings nearby. We see a lot of new faces but the routine stays the same. The staff here has been around for a bit, so we know which kids need a little extra help with their shoelaces. It isn't a big corporate operation, just a local spot where people bring their children while they go about their day in Thane.
