Our place is at Gala No. 4 on the ground floor of Building A in the Swagat Complex. If you know the Rahnai area in Bhiwandi, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and loaders moving through. It’s a lot of noise and movement from sunrise to sunset. We deal with international trade stuff, so there’s always paperwork piled up on the old desk and boxes waiting to be checked. The ground floor is good because we don't have to lug heavy things up the stairs, which saves us a lot of trouble. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. Bhiwandi has its own pace, and it’s fast. We usually have the fan running full speed because it gets stuffy in the complex when the sun is high. We share the building with a few other businesses, so there's always someone coming or going. Lunch is usually a quick affair so we can get back to the shipments. We’ve learned how to navigate the narrow lanes around here without getting stuck. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it’s where all the action is. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, so we just sit outside and wait. It’s just the way things go here. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to keep everything moving. We’ve been here for years and the rhythm never really changes much.
