Nivtech Instruments & Engineers

Nivtech Instruments & Engineers is over at I-4 in the Udyog Vihar Industrial Estate. We’re quite close to the Vitthalwadi Station, which makes it easy for the staff to get in. We deal with instruments—mostly stuff for measuring pressure, temperature, and things like that. It’s more of a technical office than a heavy factory. We have benches set up for calibration and testing. It’s quiet work for the most part. We aren't some massive corporation with a glass building. We’re in a standard industrial unit with white walls and a lot of metal shelves. Every shelf is full of boxes and little components. We spend a lot of time looking through manuals and spec sheets. Sometimes a customer comes in with a broken gauge and we have to tell them it’s better to just buy a new one. We try to be honest about it. It’s better than wasting their money. We’ve been here for several years now. The estate is a bit crowded, and the tea stall down the road is where we usually take our breaks during the afternoon. We don't have a "philosophy" or anything. We just make sure the instruments we sell or fix actually work. If they don't, people come back angry, and we don't like that. So we do it right the first time. It’s a small team, maybe six or seven of us. We know our jobs and we get on with it.
