We’ve been here at Narayan Smruti Apt for quite a while now. It’s a quiet spot in Thane, specifically in the 400601 area. Our office is on the fourth floor, or sometimes people just call it flat 16, depending on who you ask. It’s not a big fancy corporate building with glass walls, just a regular place where we get our work done every day. Mostly, it’s just us sitting at our desks, handling the paperwork that comes in for Makhija And Associates. Some days are busier than others, especially when the weather is heavy outside and the fans are just spinning away. We’ve got a few neighbors in the building, mostly families, so you hear the usual sounds of life while we’re looking through files. It’s a bit cramped when too many people show up at once, but we make it work. We usually grab tea from the stall down the road. It isn’t anything too special, but it’s our routine. People find us easily enough once they get to the right street. We try to keep things organized, though papers do tend to pile up on the corners of the tables. That’s just how it goes when you’ve been in one place for years. We know the postman well, and he knows exactly where to drop our mail. It’s just a normal office life here in Thane, nothing more and nothing less.
