We are located at Number 3, Gokul Avenue in the Gota Gam area of Kandivali East. We are right in Thakur Complex, just across the street from the Reliance Fresh. It’s a good spot because people usually stop by after doing their grocery shopping. We’ve been here for a while now, looking after people's eyes. The shop is full of frames and lenses. It’s a clean space, but we don't go overboard with the decor. We have a small chair where people sit to get their eyes checked. Sometimes kids come in and try on all the sunglasses, which makes things a bit chaotic. We don't mind. It’s a friendly neighborhood. Most of our customers live in the surrounding buildings. We know a lot of them by name. We don’t use any high-pressure sales tactics. If a frame looks good, we say so. If it doesn’t, we suggest another one. It’s just how we do business. The afternoon sun hits the front window, so we usually pull the blind down halfway. We like the quiet pace of Kandivali East. It’s not as crazy as the city center. We just open up in the morning, clean the glass cases, and wait for the first customer to walk through the door. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. We keep a record of every person who comes in using an old-fashioned ledger. There is something nice about seeing the names of families who have been coming to Jain Optics for years.
