Working out of A-58 in the TTC Industrial Estate, we are right in the heart of Mahape. Navi Mumbai is quite a trek for some people, but for us at Hydac India Pvt Ltd, this is where the daily action is. The facility here is quite large. We deal with a lot of heavy hydraulic parts and complicated systems. You can hear the constant sound of the test rigs running most of the afternoon. The floor is made of grey concrete and we try to keep the oil spills to a minimum, but in this line of work, it is hard to stay perfectly clean. We have a lot of wooden crates stacked up near the loading dock. The MIDC area is always busy with trucks coming and going, especially in the early mornings. Inside, the offices are tucked away from the main assembly area. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we have grown to like the environment. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the late evenings. We’ve been at this Mahape location for quite a while now. Most of the staff have been here for years and they know the layout like the back of their hand. We don’t really have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some technical charts and a few old calendars. It’s a place where people come to get serious technical work done. We spend our time making sure the components are put together correctly. It's a solid, honest place to spend a workday.
