Home Arts is our small shop over at Swastik Residency. We are in Shop No 15, right on Ghodbunder Road in Thane West. It’s quite close to Muchala College, which is a good landmark if you’re looking for us. The road outside is always busy with cars and buses going by. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the whole Ghodbunder area grow up around us. It used to be much quieter years ago. Now, there’s always something happening. Our shop isn't huge, but we make the most of the space we have. We spend most of our day organizing things and talking to people who walk in from the street. It’s mostly just us keeping the place running day to day. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. We just open the shutters in the morning and stay until the evening. The light in the shop is okay, but we sometimes leave the door open to get a bit of a breeze from the road. It gets a bit dusty because of all the construction nearby, so we are always cleaning. We just like being part of the local neighborhood here. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We don’t overcomplicate things. If someone needs something, they just come in and ask us directly. We are usually here six days a week.
