You can find us over at B-4 in the Devprayag building. We are right across from that Thanawala Automobile place in the Ravi Compound. Panchpakhadi is a busy part of Thane, so there is always something going on outside the windows. Our lab is a bit of a mix of old glass bottles and some newer testing equipment we picked up. It smells like chemicals most of the time, but we don't even notice the scent anymore. We do a lot of testing and lab work for different companies that need results. It’s the kind of job where you have to be very careful with numbers and measurements. Sometimes a test fails and we have to start the whole process over again, which is frustrating but that’s just how it goes in science. The office part of the lab is small and usually has a few lunch boxes sitting on the desks. We aren't a huge operation with hundreds of employees in suits. It’s just a handful of us who really know the chemistry. When the sun hits the windows in the afternoon, it gets pretty warm in here, so the old fan stays on all day. We mostly talk about the results we are seeing and what needs to be shipped out next to the clients. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s interesting work if you like being in a lab. We don't do much advertising; the work just comes in from people who know us. We will be here till late.
