Dangat Dairy

Being in Junnar means we are surrounded by greenery and lots of cattle. Dangat Dairy is where we spend all our time. The day starts at four in the morning because the cows don't wait for anyone. We collect the milk from nearby and get it ready for the local families. It’s a messy job sometimes with the cans and the cleaning. The smell of fresh milk is something you just get used to after a few days. We don't have a big corporate setup, just a simple place where the work gets done. My brothers and I handle the distribution. Some days the weather makes it hard to get around, but people need their milk for tea and cooking regardless. We’ve known most of our customers since they were kids. It is a quiet life here compared to the big cities. We focus on getting the containers filled and making sure the cooling system is running right. Sometimes the machinery needs a bit of a kick to start. We don't spend money on ads or anything like that. People just know where we are. It’s honest work that keeps us connected to the land. You can usually find one of us sitting by the entrance near the gate if you need something. We don't have office hours, just when the work is done. It is a simple life for us here and we wouldn't change it much.
