I work out of A 11 in the BMC Colony over in Bhayander East. It’s a quiet enough area compared to some of the busier parts of the city, but there’s still plenty going on. My space is pretty simple. I’ve got my desk, a couple of chairs for visitors, and shelves full of files that I’ve collected over the years. I’ve been in this spot for a while now, and the neighbors all know me by name. I usually get started quite early, before the heat really sets in. Most of my day is spent on the phone or typing away at the keyboard. It’s not a fancy corporate setup with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a room where I can get my work done without too many distractions. Sometimes the kids in the colony are playing outside and you can hear them through the window, but I don’t mind it. It makes the place feel lived in. I handle various tasks depending on what’s needed that day. People from the colony sometimes drop by just to ask a quick question or say hello. I try to keep things organized, but my desk always ends up messy by noon. That’s just the way it goes when you’re busy. Bhayander has its own charm, and being tucked away in the BMC Colony suits the way I like to work. It’s straightforward and honest, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
