Chandan Arts

Chandan Arts is located in Room No. 167 of Mahi Niwas. We are in Shivaji Nagar, over in the Balkumbh part of Thane West. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in here. This is a residential area mostly, so our space is basically just one room in a larger building. We’ve been here a long time, and the neighbors all know us. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a mall. There are cans of paint and brushes everywhere you look. We do a lot of manual work, so our hands are usually stained with ink or color by the end of the day. The lighting isn't the best, so we often work near the window when we need to see details. We don't have a website or fancy brochures. People just come by and tell us what they need painted or designed. Sometimes we have to move the furniture around just to fit a large board inside. It can be a bit chaotic during the monsoon because the roof leaks a little in the corner, but we put a bucket there and keep going. We aren't looking to expand into a big studio. We like the way things are, just working in our little corner of Thane. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. That is all we really want from this small shop.
