Our space isn't huge, but we pack a lot of Asian Paints stock in here. You’ll see the tall stacks of paint buckets as soon as you walk in. The building, Prasad Bhavan, is easy to find once you’re in the neighborhood. We spend our days helping people decide between eggshell and gloss. It’s funny how people can spend an hour looking at two shades of beige. We don't mind, though. We’ve lived around here long enough to know the local families. The humidity in Kalyan can be tough on paint, so we talk about that a lot. The front door stays open most of the day to let a breeze in. We have a small desk where we do all the paperwork and bills. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a big shipment arrives. We have to move quickly to get everything off the truck and onto the shelves. The floor is concrete and has some old paint spills that won't come off. It’s a working shop, not a showroom. We keep things simple and just focus on getting the paint out to whoever needs it.
