We operate Ashank Macbricks Private Limited out of Unit 303 in the Anant Laxmi Chamber, over in Shivaji Nagar, Thane. It’s a fairly central spot, which makes it easier for us to manage things around the Gokhale area. Our business is mostly centered on bricks, but not just the usual kind you see everywhere. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking on the quality of what’s coming in. The office is usually humming with the sound of the fan and people on their phones. We don't really do the whole corporate thing. Our desks are covered in notebooks and the occasional brick sample that we're testing out. It can get a bit cramped when everyone is in at once, but we make it work. Thane is always expanding, so there’s no shortage of construction around us. We've seen a lot of buildings go up in this neighborhood since we moved into this chamber. Our team is a mix of people who have been in the construction world for years and some newer faces. We don't have a fancy website or a huge marketing budget. Most of our business comes from people who know us and trust that we’ll get the job done without too much fuss. It’s just about being reliable and knowing your product inside and out. Every day brings a different challenge, whether it’s a delivery delay or a change in a client’s plan. We just take it as it comes and try to keep the bricks moving to the sites that need them. It's a lot of coordination.
