Being right on the Mumbai Nashik National Highway means we see a lot of traffic passing by every single day. We’ve got our yard set up here in Vashon Shocker Shapur White, and it's a busy place to be. We make blocks and bricks mostly, just the standard stuff people need for construction around here. It gets loud with the trucks on the highway, but you get used to the noise after a few weeks. The staff here are mostly locals who know their way around a cement mixer. We don't have a big fancy reception area or anything like that. Usually, if someone wants to talk to us, they just walk into the yard and find one of us near the stacks. We spend a lot of time checking the mix and making sure the drying process is going okay. It’s repetitive work, but someone has to do it. Brick & Block Manufacturers Pvt. Ltd. is just a name on the gate, really. Mostly we are just a group of guys trying to keep up with the orders that come in. The weather can be a bit of a pain when it’s too humid, but we manage to get things out the door. We don’t have any big speeches to give about what we do. We just make the blocks, stack them up, and wait for the transport to take them away. It is just a regular job for everyone involved here.
