Our office for Artisan Automation (India) Pvt. Ltd. is up on the seventh floor of the Surayadarshan building in Panpakhadi, Thane West. To be exact, it is room 706-B. The lift in this building can be a bit slow during the morning rush, so a few of us usually end up taking the stairs if we are running late. Inside, the space is filled with desks, some wiring samples, and a lot of paperwork. We spend our time working on automation projects for different clients. It is the kind of place where things can get a bit messy when a big project is in the middle of being tested. We don't have a corporate vibe here; it is more about getting the technical details sorted. Thane is a busy place, and Panpakhadi has its own local rhythm that we’ve become a part of over the years. Lunch usually involves someone going out to grab snacks for the whole group. We aren't really into big marketing talks or trying to sound more important than we are. We are just a group of people who understand how these systems work and try to put them together correctly. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the commute to Thane West a bit of a challenge, but we still make it in. It is a simple, functional workplace where the focus is on the machines and the code rather than the decor.
