Akash Agro Industries

So, Akash Agro Industries is basically run out of our flat in Nerul. We are located at Navyanidhi Chs, Plot No. 12, in Sector 42-A. It’s Flat No. 301. It might seem a bit strange to have an agro name attached to a residential building in Navi Mumbai, but that’s just how we started out. We don’t have big tractors or fields here, obviously. It’s mostly the administrative side of things that happens in this third-floor apartment. The neighborhood is actually quite nice and calm compared to the busier parts of Mumbai. We’ve got a balcony where we can see the street below. Most of our day is spent on the phone or tracking shipments on the computer. The flat is filled with files and some samples here and there. It’s a family-run sort of thing, so there’s always someone around. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or a lobby. You just ring the bell and come into the living room. It works for us because it keeps the costs down and we don’t have to commute far. Sometimes the rain gets really heavy in Nerul and we just stay inside and keep working. It’s a simple setup, nothing too complicated. We just focus on getting the tasks finished and making sure the business stays on track from our small corner of the city. We don't need much more than that. It’s a good spot.
