Our place is over in Phase-II of the MIDC area in Dombivili East. If you know the industrial zone, you know it’s mostly warehouses and small factories everywhere. We’ve been at F-30 for quite some time now. The air usually smells like metal and oil around here, which is pretty standard for this part of town. We handle pneumatic stuff, so our days are filled with hoses, valves, and cylinders. It’s a dusty job sometimes, especially when we’re moving stock around the back. The fans in the office don't always keep the heat away, but we manage. We aren't some huge corporation with a lobby; you just walk in and someone will be there to help you at the counter. We spend a lot of time checking inventory and making sure we didn't miss an order that came in late the day before. Dealing with the local transport guys is a big part of the day, trying to get things loaded onto the trucks without too much delay. Dombivili gets pretty humid, so we take our breaks when we can. It’s honest work and we’ve gotten used to the noise of the machines nearby. Most people who come to us are looking for specific parts for their own machines, so we spend time looking through catalogs or the shelves to find the right fit. It’s just us here, keeping the gears turning in our own small way. We usually lock up around six and head home.
