Our plant is out at Plot No R- 427/2 in the MIDC Rabale area, part of the TTC Industrial Area. If you know the neighborhood, you know it’s mostly factories and warehouses. Abhishek Filtertechnikchem-Plant is one of those places where the work is loud and the floor is always busy. We focus on filters and chemical plant equipment, which involves a lot of metal, welding, and precise measurements. It’s a big space but we’ve managed to fill it up with machinery and raw materials over the years. The air always smells a bit like oil and cut steel, which is just how it is in this line of work. We aren't trying to be anything other than a solid workshop. There are no fancy offices with glass walls here; the owner is usually out on the floor with everyone else. We deal with a lot of technical specs and it can be a bit of a grind when we have a big order to finish. The sun beats down on the roof in the afternoon, making it pretty warm inside, but we’re used to the heat. Most of the guys here have been doing this for a long time and they know exactly how to handle the equipment. We just show up, do the work, and make sure the filters are built right before they head out the gate. It is hard work, but we like seeing things being built from scratch right here.
