Out here on Penumaka Road in Undavalli, it's usually quite noisy with the traffic going by. Our place at 85-6-21 is where we keep the oil stocks. It can get pretty slippery on the floor if we aren't careful during the pouring. We have these large containers lined up against the wall. It’s mostly manual work, lifting and moving stuff around. My hands are usually a bit greasy by the end of the shift. We started this because we knew the area needed a reliable source for cooking oil. No big advertisements, just word of mouth from the neighbors. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we have to wait it out. It’s not a perfect setup, but it works for us. We get the drums delivered early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. Dealing with the suppliers takes up a lot of time. Sometimes they are late, and we just have to sit and drink tea while we wait. The shopfront isn't anything special to look at. Just a simple door and a small sign. Most people know where we are anyway. We've been here long enough that we don't need to explain much. We just focus on getting the bottles filled and making sure the lids are on tight. It’s a lot of repetition, but someone has to do it. We just stay busy and keep the inventory moving as best as we can.
