Dashmesh Public School

Dashmesh Public School is located in Ramdass, which is up near Amritsar. It is a small place and everyone pretty much knows who we are. We have been operating out of this building for several years now. The rooms are plain but we try to keep them clean for the students. Every morning, the children arrive in their uniforms and we start the day. There is a lot of noise during the breaks, which is normal for any school. We focus on the regular subjects that are required for the exams. Our teachers live nearby and they are very practical people who just want the kids to learn their lessons. We have a bit of open space where the kids play during their free time, usually just running around or playing simple games. The winters in Amritsar can get quite chilly, so everyone is wrapped up in sweaters. We don't have a big office or a reception area; it is mostly just classrooms and a small staff room. Parents often drop in to talk about their children's progress or to pay the monthly fees. We are just a local school trying to provide a place for education in Ramdass. There are no fancy gadgets here, just people teaching and kids learning what they need to know for the future. It’s a straightforward way of doing things, and we like it that way. The school is part of the community.
