Zeus Mens Beauty Saloon

Our shop is in Aravind Towers, room 603 A. We are located on 31st Street in Korattur. It’s quite close to Basthachalam College, so we see a lot of students coming in. Zeus Mens Beauty Saloon is where I spend most of my time. Chennai gets really hot, so the fan is always spinning. The towers can be a bit confusing if you haven't been here before. Just look for the A block. We do haircuts and shaves mainly. It’s a simple setup with a few mirrors and the usual barber tools. I’ve been cutting hair for years. My father taught me some of it. We don't have fancy leather chairs, just the standard ones. They do the job. Sometimes we talk about cricket while I work. Everyone has an opinion on the latest match. The shop isn't very large, but it's enough for us. I keep a stack of newspapers for people to read while they wait. The floor gets covered in hair by noon and I have to sweep it up before the next person sits down. It’s a busy life in Korattur. The college nearby keeps the street lively. We like the noise and the people. It’s just a regular place for men to get a clean look. Nothing more and nothing less. We are just here doing our bit every day. We usually finish up when the last customer leaves.
