It is just a small shop here in Gowrivakkam, right in that Government Complex on Vembuliamman Koil Street. We have been working at Yuvas Smart Look Mens Beauty Parlour for a while now. Most people find us because we are near Siet College. It gets pretty busy in the mornings when the younger guys come in before their classes start. We have a few chairs and mirrors. It is nothing fancy, just a regular place to get a haircut or a shave. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but nobody seems to mind. People come in, sit on the bench, and wait their turn. We talk about the local news or whatever is on the small TV in the corner. Chennai heat is something else, so the shop is a good place to hide from the sun for thirty minutes. We try to keep things clean, sweeping up hair after every person leaves. It is a steady life here. You get to know the faces of the neighbors. Some kids have been coming here since they were small, and now they are grown up. That is just how it is in this part of town. We open early and stay until the evening. If you walk past the Vaniga Valagam building, you will see our sign. It is just a simple spot for a trim without any fuss or waiting around for hours.
