Sai Beauty Parlour & Spa

Our shop is Sai Beauty Parlour & Spa, located at No 61 on the ground floor of Sannathi Street in Tiruvottiyur. We are very near Porkodi Hotel, so there is always the smell of sambar and tea in the air. Sannathi Street is always full of people, especially during festival times because of the nearby temples. The shop is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for older people to walk in without climbing stairs. It is a simple space with a few mirrors and chairs that we’ve had for a long time. The floor is just plain cement, but we keep it clean. We don't have any of those expensive machines you see in big malls. We use our hands and basic tools for everything we do. Sometimes the street gets flooded a little when it rains heavily, but we just put some bricks at the door and keep going. Most of our regular customers live in the houses nearby. We don't really do any advertising; people just see the board when they go to the hotel or the temple. It’s just a regular day-to-day business for us. We keep a small fan running near the chairs, but it doesn't do much in the May heat. We are usually here from morning until the street lights come on. It is a busy, noisy, but friendly part of town where everyone knows what is happening at the hotel.
