Indian Handcrafted Bead Curtain

We work out of Kolathur making these bead curtains. It’s a lot of handwork, as the name Indian Handcrafted Bead Curtain says. You’ll see beads all over the floor sometimes because accidents happen when you’re stringing them together all day long. This isn't a factory with robots. It’s just people sitting and working with their hands. Kolathur is a nice enough place, and we’ve set up our workspace here to handle the orders that come in. Some designs take a long time and others are much quicker. We don't have a fancy showroom to show off. Most of the space is taken up by boxes of beads and finished curtains waiting to be sent out. It’s a bit of a mess, honestly, but it’s a productive mess. We talk while we work to keep the time moving. The bead curtains are what they are. We don't try to say they’ll change your life or anything like that. They’re just nice things for people’s homes. We focus on the stringing and the knotting. It can be hard on the fingers after a while. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just like making things and being based here in Kolathur. If you ever saw us working, you’d just see a bunch of people focused on small details. It’s quiet work, mostly, except for the sound of beads clicking together.
