Kala Kriti

Our workshop, Kala Kriti, is situated at 156-A in the Riico New Industrial Area Extension. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but it’s a good spot for what we do. We have enough room to set up our tools and materials without getting in each other’s way. Most of what we do involves making things by hand. It’s a lot of manual labor and it gets pretty messy. There is usually dust on the floor and scraps of material everywhere. We don't worry too much about keeping it looking like a showroom because it’s a workspace first. We have a few local people who help out with the production. We don’t have a big corporate structure or anything. It’s just us doing the work every day. The industrial area is quiet at night but very loud during the day with all the other shops nearby. We’ve been here since the extension was relatively new. We’ve seen other businesses come and go, but we’ve managed to stick around at 156-A. We don't do much in the way of promotion. If people like what we make, they tell their friends. That’s how we’ve always done it. It’s a simple life, focused on making things that look right. We just take it one day at a time and focus on the current project.
