Our shop, Essensuals Toni & Guy, is located over at No 2 A J Complex on Mount Poonamallee Road. We are easy to find because we are right opposite the Indian Oil Petrol Bunk in Iyyappanthangal. Being in Chennai, it gets quite hot, so we make sure the air conditioning is working well for whoever walks through the door. It is a decent-sized space where we do a lot of hair cutting and styling every day. We have got a team here that just likes doing hair. It is not about being fancy, even though the name might sound like it to some people. We mostly deal with folks from the neighborhood who want a change or just their usual cut. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the blow dryers going all at once, but that is just how it is. We have been in this complex for a while now. Most people find us when they are getting petrol across the street or just passing through this part of Chennai. We do not spend much time on fancy decorations; we just focus on the chairs and the mirrors. It is a straightforward setup. We open up early and usually stay busy until late evening. If you need something done with your hair or skin, we are here. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure people walk out looking okay. It is a regular job for us and we enjoy being part of the local community here.
