Dhyan Art is situated over at Plot C6/Ii in Phase-Ii, Zone-B of the MEPZ area in Tambaram. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren’t already working in the export zone. The space is quite large because of the kind of work we do. It’s not like a regular retail shop on a high street. We have a lot of room for our materials and the different projects we are working on at any given time. The building is industrial and basic, which suits us just fine. There’s a lot of natural light coming in through the windows, which helps when we’re looking at details. We spend a lot of our hours here just focused on the tasks at hand. It’s usually pretty quiet inside compared to the rest of the zone. We don’t get a lot of random foot traffic, mostly just people who have a reason to be in this specific part of Tambaram. The commute can be a bit of a pain during rush hour, but once we’re inside the gates, it’s a good environment for getting things done. We keep the floor as clean as we can, but art and production can get messy. There are always crates and tools scattered around. It’s a functional space where we put in the hours every day. Nothing fancy, just a place where work happens. Some days are longer than others depending on the deadlines.
