Ravi Sankar Kolachana

My name is Ravi Sankar Kolachana and I live and work in a place called Parimella, which is near Tadepalligudem in the West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. This is a very rural and quiet area compared to the big cities, and I like it that way. I have been set up here for quite some time now, doing my work from my own premises. It isn't a big factory or a high-rise office. It's just a simple building where I spend most of my hours. I don't have a lot of help, so I end up doing most of the things myself, from the actual labor to the bookkeeping at night. My neighbors are mostly farmers or people with small shops, so we all know each other. I don't use a lot of big words to explain what I do. I just take the tasks as they come and try to finish them before the deadline. Sometimes the rain in this part of AP makes it hard to get around, but we manage. I keep my tools and my papers organized in my own way, even if it looks messy to someone else. I’m not interested in being a big famous company. I just want to keep working here in Parimella and provide for my family. It’s a plain life but it’s an honest one and I’m proud of it.
