Anumulapuri Janamma.

I live and work out of H.No. 1-115 in Mamidala village, which is part of Thipparthy. Being here in the T.S. region, life moves at a different pace than the big cities. My home is where everything happens. I don’t have a big company name or a fancy office building with glass doors. It’s just me, Anumulapuri Janamma, doing what I’ve always done. Most of my day is spent dealing with people from the village who stop by for one thing or another. Sometimes it’s about the crops, sometimes it’s just local talk. The house is old but it serves its purpose. I keep my workspace simple and clear. When the rains come, the streets in Mamidala get a bit muddy, so things slow down a lot. I’ve lived here all my life and know every corner of this village. My work isn't something you’d find in a magazine. It’s just the daily tasks that keep a person busy. I wake up when the birds start and usually wind down once the sun goes behind the trees. There is a sense of peace in knowing your neighbors and having them know you. We don’t use much technology here; it’s mostly just face-to-face talking and handshakes. It is a humble way to live, but it’s mine. I’ve seen many changes in Thipparthy over the years, but my little corner at H.No. 1-115 stays pretty much the same.
