Roll Smooth Engineering Co.

Down in Phase 2 of the GIDC Estate, things are a bit older than the newer sections. Roll Smooth Engineering Co. is located at C-1/282. If you walk past, you’ll hear the sound of the machines running all day long. It's not a quiet place, but it's the kind of noise we like because it means we are busy. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains from the years of work we’ve done here. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the front office looks. It’s mostly just files and a few old chairs. We focus on the engineering side of things. Most of the staff has been living in this area for a long time, so we all know the shortcuts to avoid the main road traffic. In the afternoons, the heat can get a bit heavy, so we take short breaks for water or tea. There is no big corporate ladder here. We just have the people who know how to work the metal and the few of us who handle the orders. C-1/282 has been our home for a while now, and we’ve seen the neighbors change over the years. It’s a practical setup. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just show up in the morning and stay until the work is finished. It’s a simple way to run things, but it works for us.
