Our place for Ma Ashish Foods Llp is actually part of Ramadevsinh Pratapsinh’s property in the village. It is a bit out of the way if you are not from around Limbdi. You have to follow the narrow roads past the fields to find us. It is a very rural setting, which I like because it stays quiet most of the time. You hear the birds and the occasional tractor going by. We started here in Bhalagamadata because it felt right to be in the village. It is not a corporate office with glass walls or anything fancy. It is more like a sturdy building with a tin roof where we get things done. We have a small yard where we load the bags. Sometimes the goats from the neighbor's place wander in if we leave the gate open. We just shoo them out and get back to it. It is hard work, especially when the weather is humid, but we are used to it. My cousin helps me with the logistics and we have a few local guys who come in to help with the heavy lifting. We do not really do much advertising. People in the area just know who we are and where to find us. We keep our records in a big ledger on the desk. It is an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. Living and working here means you do not have to rush.
