Urtiqa Softwares Llp is based at the Momai Complex near Sahara Darwaja in Surat. Our office is up on the 6th floor, flat 607. Sahara Darwaja is one of the busiest spots in the city, especially with the textile markets nearby, so it’s always loud and crowded downstairs. We’ve got a lot of space, covering plots 61 and several survey numbers from 67 to 77. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. Inside, it’s just a regular office. We’ve got rows of desks, some half-dead plants that we forget to water, and a kitchen area where the microwave is always busy. Working in software means we spend a lot of time sitting down, so we try to move around when we can. The elevator in the complex is a bit old and shaky, so some of us take the stairs for the exercise, though six floors is a lot in the heat. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just write code and talk to people who need help with their systems. It’s a very practical environment. There are usually empty chai cups on the tables by the end of the day. We like the grit of being in Umarwada. It feels like we are in the middle of where the real business of Surat happens. It’s not glamorous, but it’s our place and we like it that way.
