Unnati Construction (Under L&T Ecc Division)

Our work is currently centered in Mora, which is a village area in Choryasi, Surat. We are operating under the L&T Ecc Division, so there is a lot of coordination to handle. V. Selvakumar and the rest of the crew stay busy out here. We are staying at a place provided by Balubhai Morarbhai Patel while the construction moves forward. It is dusty and hot most of the time, which is just part of the job when you are in this line of work. We spend our mornings checking the site and making sure the materials have arrived. The office part is just a small room with a table and some chairs where we look at the plans. We don't have any fancy decorations. It is all about the project and getting things built. The local food in the Taluka is pretty good, so that is a plus. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just have to wait it out. It is a basic lifestyle here in the Gujarat district. We wear our boots and helmets all day and usually end up pretty tired by the evening. Dealing with the logistics of a big division like L&T keeps us on our toes. There are always people coming in and out of the site asking questions. We just take it one day at a time and keep moving. It is a lot of work but we stay on task.
