Fairmate

Our place is on the ground floor right at No. 226 on First Main Road. If you know Raj Kumar Circle in Kamla Nagar, you’ve probably driven past us many times without thinking much of it. It’s a busy corner, and the traffic noise is always there in the background while we work. We handle a lot of construction materials and chemicals, so the shop usually smells a bit like damp concrete or glue. It’s not a fancy showroom with air conditioning that works all the time. Instead, we have shelves piled high with buckets and bags that need to go out to sites. My desk is usually covered in receipts and half-finished cups of coffee. People from the neighborhood drop in to ask about fixing a leak or what kind of grout they should use for their bathroom. We just give them a straight answer based on what we’ve seen work over the years. Some days it is just me and one other guy trying to move heavy drums around. Kamla Nagar has changed a lot since we set up here, but we just keep doing our thing. We don't do much advertising because most people just hear about us from their neighbors or contractors. It’s a simple setup, really. We open up early, sweep the front step, and wait to see who needs help with their building project that day.
