Dharajyot Stone Art

Dharajyot Stone Art is located at number 37 in New Bhatar, right on U. M. Road. We are quite close to the Bhatar Char Rasta in Surat. If you come by, you’ll see plenty of stone being worked on. There is always a layer of dust on everything, which is just what happens when you are carving and cutting stone all day. We do a lot of decorative work and traditional designs. It takes a lot of patience to get the details right. We have a few guys who have been doing this for years, and they make it look easier than it actually is. The sound of chisels and grinders is what you’ll hear most of the time. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning and soft music. It’s more of a working yard where you can see the raw materials before they get shaped. We like being in this part of Surat because it’s easy for people to find us. Sometimes we get projects that take weeks of careful work, and other times it’s something smaller. We just treat every piece of stone with the same attention. It's heavy, dusty work, but there is something nice about seeing a finished piece go out on a truck. We don't do much advertising. People usually see our work at someone else's place and ask where it came from.
