Surti Lace

We are located at Gali No. 3, Plot No. 3 in Gandhi Nagar. It’s part of the Madhav Bagh Society, right opposite Ambika Society here in Surat. The area is quite busy with all the textile work going on every single day. You have to take the Udhna Maggadalla Road and then turn onto Bhatar Road to find us. At Surti Lace, we spend most of our time dealing with the small details. Lace making is what everyone around here knows us for. It’s a bit of a maze getting through the lanes sometimes, especially if you are new to the area. Our unit isn't huge, but we have enough room for the machines we need. The noise of the machinery is something you get used to after a few days of working here. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years as more shops moved in. Some days are slower than others, but we stay open regardless. We don’t have a big philosophy or anything like that. We just make sure the lace looks right before it goes out to anyone. The guys who work here have been doing this for years. They know the threads and the patterns by heart. It’s a practical business. We don’t spend money on fancy rugs or glass walls. We just focus on the work at hand in Gali No. 3. If you get lost, just ask anyone near Madhav Bagh Society for the lace plot. They’ll point you the right way.
