Meena'S Boutique

Meena'S Boutique is sitting right at No. 4 in Narmada Park, part of the Vidhya Kunj Society on the main road. It’s a pretty easy place to find if you’re in the Naranda Park area. We’ve been running this boutique for a while now, and it’s basically where we spend all our time. It’s a small shop, and we’ve got it packed with different styles and fabrics. We don't have a huge staff or anything, just a couple of us who do everything from cleaning the windows to helping customers pick out a dress. The main road can get pretty loud with the scooters and cars going by, but inside it’s usually just the sound of the sewing machine or us talking. We do some alterations here too, so there’s often thread and scraps of cloth on the floor by the end of the day. It’s not a perfectly polished place, but it’s ours. We know the ladies in the society and they often stop in just to say hello or see what new stuff we brought in. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. If someone likes something, they buy it. We just try to keep the stock fresh and the shop welcoming in a normal, everyday way. It’s a lot of work, but being our own bosses here in Narmada Park makes it worth it. Sometimes we stay late to finish a stitching job when someone needs a dress for the next day. It’s just how it goes here.
