Neel Kamal

Neel Kamal is located at Shop No. 8 in the Madhav Complex, right across from the Udhna Station. Being so close to the station means we see a lot of people rushing by all day long. Our shop is small, but we pack a lot of items onto the shelves and into the display cases. It’s one of those places where you have to move carefully so you don't knock anything over. We mostly deal with textiles and everyday wear, things that people in Udhna need for their daily lives. The noise from the trains and the station announcements is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We open early in the morning because that’s when the first wave of commuters starts moving. It’s often just us sitting on the stools behind the counter, waiting for the next customer to walk in. We don't have a big sign or any fancy lighting. It’s a practical shop where the focus is on the goods we sell. Sometimes we stand outside the door just to get a bit of air when the shop feels too crowded with stock. We’ve been in Madhav Complex for a good while, and we’ve seen shops around us change owners many times. We just keep doing what we do, serving the people who get off the train looking for something specific. It is just a regular part of the market here.
