Surat is always moving, and we are right here at Shop 5 in KG House. Being on Ghoddod Road means things get busy pretty fast once the shops open up in the morning. We spend a lot of time just keeping everything in order inside the shop at Regent High Street. It is a small space, but we make it work every day. People stop by after visiting the bank across the street, mostly just to see what is new on the shelves. We have been here for a while now, watching the traffic go by outside. Sometimes the humidity in Surat makes things feel a bit slow, but usually, there is a good amount of energy around here. We open up, check the stock, and wait for whoever walks through the door. It is not a very fancy operation, just a regular place where we try to get things right for the people who live nearby. Most of our regulars come from the surrounding buildings. We talk about the weather or the traffic on Ghoddod Road while they look around. It is a simple way to spend the day. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything stays clean and the lights stay on. It feels good to be part of this specific street. You get to know the faces of the people working in the other shops around KG House too.
