Textile Designer Cad Operator

Surat is the place to be if you’re in textiles, and I’m right in the middle of it at 20, Maruti Nagar. This is the Limbayat Udhnayard area, which is always buzzing with activity from dawn until late at night. My work as a Textile Designer Cad Operator happens here in a small, practical office space. It’s not the kind of place with a big lobby or a receptionist to greet you. You just walk in and you’ll see me at the computer, working on patterns and designs for hours. The yard is close by, so there’s always the sound of trucks and the smell of the industry in the air. It’s a busy, dusty part of town, but it’s where the real work gets done. My desk is usually covered in printouts and notes about different fabric orders. I don't have a fancy corporate title; I just do the CAD work and make sure the designs are ready for production. Maruti Nagar is a tight-knit spot, and I’ve got to know the other people working nearby quite well. We all help each other out when someone’s internet goes down or when we need a hand moving something heavy into the office. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s an important one in a city like Surat. I just focus on the screen, get the lines right, and make sure the colors are what they’re supposed to be. It’s a simple setup, just a room, a computer, and a lot of daily focus.
