Surti Khaman & Farsan Mart

You can find Surti Khaman & Farsan Mart at G/2 on Paud Road in the Rambaug Colony area. We are part of the Pushpa Nagari section right by Ring Road. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address but that is where we are. We specialize in khaman and all sorts of farsan snacks. Every morning we are busy steaming the batter and frying the snacks. The smell of mustard seeds and curry leaves fills up the whole shop. It is a lot of manual work lifting the heavy trays and packing the bags. We have a small counter where we serve everyone. The location on Paud Road gets a lot of traffic so we see many commuters. It’s a simple setup with our fryers and steaming racks in the back. We don't have fancy signs or anything. We just focus on getting the snacks ready before the morning rush. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected but we just start again the next day. Working in Rambaug Colony is nice because it feels like a real community. We aren't a big chain just a local mart trying to do things right. We spend our time cleaning and prepping for the next day. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from sunup to sundown here in Pushpa Nagari. We just stay at G/2 and keep the stove going for as long as we need to.
