Panwala Mohamad Faruq

Panwala Mohamad Faruq is located at 15/1546 in the Haripura area. We are right on the Ranmukteshwar Mandir Road, not too far from the Talawadi Gumajwali Masjid. It’s a unique spot because you can hear the sounds from both the temple and the mosque throughout the day, which gives the whole street a specific kind of rhythm. This neighborhood is very old and the roads are narrow, so everyone knows each other’s business. We’ve been here for years, and the shop is just a part of the daily landscape for people living in Haripura. It’s a small place, maybe a bit cramped if more than two people are inside, but it serves its purpose. We don't have any big marketing plans or fancy websites. People just know where we are and what we do. Most of the time, we are just sitting here, preparing things and chatting with whoever stops by for a minute. The heat in the summer can be tough since the building is old, but we have a fan that helps a bit. We stay open late because that’s when most of the locals are out walking and stopping for a chat. It’s a very traditional way of living and working, and we wouldn't really know how to do it any other way. It’s just Faruq and the daily routine that hasn't changed much over the seasons. We just take it day by day and keep the counter clean for the next person who walks through the door.
