Surat Sewa Foundation

Our office for the Surat Sewa Foundation is over in the Pandesara area. We’re on the third floor of Pragati Tower, specifically in room 302. If you know where Daxeswar Mandir is, we’re just right behind it. It’s a lively part of the city and we’ve been here for a while now. We aren't doing anything super fancy. The office is just a regular room with some desks and chairs where we handle our daily work. We focus on seva, which basically means we try to help people out whenever we can. It might be something small or something a bit bigger, depending on who walks through the door. We don't have a big corporate board or anything like that. It’s just a handful of us who wanted to do something useful for the folks living around Pandesara. Some days are quieter than others, but there’s always something that needs fixing or someone to talk to. We keep our doors open and try to be practical about everything. The building itself is easy to find, and we like being near the temple because it keeps us grounded. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just show up at Pragati Tower, climb the stairs to the third floor, and get on with the day’s tasks. It's not a lot, but it's what we do and we like it.
