Novelty Stationery Computers

Vapi Silvassa Road is almost always busy with trucks and people moving between the two towns. Our shop, Novelty Stationery Computers, is located in the Anjani Complex, right near the Jama Masjid. Because of the mosque, there is a lot of foot traffic, especially on Fridays when the whole street fills up with people. Inside the shop, it is a bit of a mix of everything. On one side, we have stacks of notebooks, pens, and school supplies, and on the other side, we have computer parts and printers that usually need some kind of repair. It smells like fresh paper and warm electronics in here. Refilling ink cartridges or trying to figure out why a customer's laptop will not turn on takes up a lot of our time. The rain in Vapi can be really heavy, so we often have to move the displays back from the door to keep the paper from getting damp. We have a long wooden counter where people come to get their photocopies done or to buy a single pen. It is not a polished retail store. There are boxes of cables and paper reams everywhere you look. We do not really use a fancy system for anything; we just know where the stock is. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming when a bunch of students come in at once for their project supplies, but we manage. We just keep the door open and let the breeze from the road blow through while we work.
