Shri Devnarayan Kirana Store

Our shop, Shri Devnarayan Kirana Store, is located in the Green Arcade building on Green City Road. We are in the Adajan area of Surat, right near Trinity Hall. If you know that hall, you can find us easily. It is a standard kirana store where we keep all the usual kitchen items like rice, dals, and oils. The shop isn't very big but we pack a lot into the shelves. Every morning starts with moving some heavy sacks around to make space for the day. The area around Adajan Dn has grown a lot lately so there are always new people moving in and asking where things are. We mostly deal with the families living in the nearby apartments. It gets a bit hectic in the evenings when everyone comes home from work and realizes they forgot to buy sugar or tea leaves. We use a simple notebook to keep track of things that need ordering. The floor is tiled but it gets dirty fast with people coming in and out from the dusty street. We try to keep things clean. There is a lot of lifting involved, moving heavy bags of flour and crates of cold drinks. It is hard work but it keeps us busy. We do not have any fancy displays or bright lights. It is just a regular shop where you get what you need for the house. We just stay here and serve whoever comes by.
